The photo series titled Nightscapes by Royce Bair shows urbanites exactly what they are missing. Living in cities that never sleep, many people don’t have the opportunity to appreciate the true beauty of the night sky sans lights. At least now they can get a glimpse of it through this stellar shoot.
Focusing on national parks including Grand Teton, Bryce Canyon and Arches, Nightscapes by Royce Bair is absolutely breathtaking. Putting aside his film camera for a digital one allowed Bair to capture the true beauty of these starry scenes and the landscape that surrounds them. Bair writes, "In order to get this type of astrophotography a person used to have to mount his camera on an astronomy tracking device that was correlated with the rotation of the earth--but you were prohibited from showing any land features in your images, otherwise the landscape would be blurred."
