Kamil Tyebally and Saami Siddiqui of 'New York is Killing Me' are two very talented dudes. Tyebally serves as the project's art director, while Siddiqui is the actual cameraman. The duo dabble in many artistic mediums of photography, ranging from documentary-style to portraiture to commercial.
The duo's title, which was originally inspired by the Giles Scott Heron track of the same name, is very reflective of the images the two want to take. The photos are intended to demonstrate, as Tyebally describes, "the constant hustle and struggle of life in the city and the ability to thrive within it."
The Brooklyn-based roomies have a comfortability in their relationship that is like that of siblings, allowing for open communication and, ultimately, better art.
