Nest smart thermostat joined forces with the Automatic smart driving monitor to show us the true meaning of "integrated" at this year's CES.
The two services are able to interact through a simple login that connects them. The Automatic driving monitor notifies the Nest thermostat when the homeowner is away, allowing the device to lower heating or cooling accordingly to reduce energy costs. When the homeowner returns, the home will be restored to the preferred temperature. In fact, the Automatic driving monitor can actually predict how long the drive will be, alerting the thermostat in time so that the house is the perfect temperature by the time the owner pulls into the driveway.
The partnership between the Nest smart thermostat and Automatic smart driving monitor showcases what a little teamwork can do.
