Scientific Cannabis Collaborations

The National Compassionate Care Council Deepens Research

The National Compassionate Care Council, a coalition focused on advancing evidence-based medicinal cannabinoid policy, has entered into a scientific collaboration with Standard Seed Corporation, a biotechnology firm that employs artificial intelligence-driven computational methods to research botanical and cannabinoid therapeutic compounds.

Under this agreement, the National Compassionate Care Council will direct policy and advocacy efforts, while Standard Seed will contribute its technical expertise to the council’s Research and Data Collection Working Group, specifically addressing product characterization, traceability, data standards, and the analysis of real-world evidence across various regulatory categories — from hemp-derived products and state-regulated cannabis items to FDA-tracked drug development.

A key component of Standard Seed’s contribution is its Certification of Excellence product-verification program, which utilizes a QR-code system linked to batch-level identifiers, allowing clinicians, researchers, and patients to access independent third-party Certificates of Analysis that detail potency and contaminant testing results, thereby enhancing transparency and consistency.
