Issey Miyake Remixes the New Balance MT10 Sneaker Model

Issey Miyake works in collaboration with New Balance for the first time and the two shine a spotlight on the MT10 sneaker model. It is joining the seasonal Spring/Summer 2024 roster with a standout stealthy aesthetic. The sleek silhouette takes the iconic shoe from the 2010s running Minimus line as the canvas. The original shape is retained and further elevated by a lightweight build. It comes in muted colorways such as black, white, and blue-green.

The Issey Miyake design team talks about the structure to Highsnobiety, stating "Satoshi Kondo found many connections between the concept and the design of the original MT10 and the theme of the SS24 collection. They both covey this notion of sensuous physicality, and that clothing, as well as footwear, are considered and treated (in the design sense) as integral parts of the human body."
