Recently, Google Street View has been offering more and more amazing virtual experiences, and the latest of these is a hike up Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia's tallest mountain.
Just a few weeks ago, Google Street View added stunning aerial imagery of the city of Hong Kong, so that visitors to Google's ubiquitous mapping service could experience what it would be like to fly over the vast metropolis. Now, satellite images of Mount Kinabalu let anyone with a computer experience what it would be like to scale the 13,438-foot-tall mountain. Mount Kinabalu is located on the island of Borneo in the East Malaysian state of Sabah. The mountain and its surrounding plains are some of the most important environmental sites in the world, containing over 5,000 plant species, 326 types of bird and 100 different mammals.
