Vibrant Mongolian Fashion

Mongol's Fall Collection Updates the Past with Pops of Color

Blending the styles of traditional Mongolian fashion with luxurious materials and bright pops of colors, it's easy to imagine that the Mongol Fall 2015 collection is exactly what you'd find in the closet of a modern empress.

This collection was the New York Fashion Week debut of Bayarmaa Bayarkhuu's brand, which exudes global style. While the collection does pay homage to her Mongolian roots, Bayarkhuu puts a spin on tradition that offers appeal to a contemporary consumer. Luxe materials included fur, cashmere and specialty items from Mongolia, in silhouettes that ranged from floor-length dresses to pants and separates. Some of the most striking pieces in the collection were the vibrant coats, which surely caught the eyes of anyone in New York feeling the chill on the day of the fashion show.
