Beyerdynamic Unveiled the MMX 150 and MMX 230 Headsets at Gamescom

The MMX 150 Wireless is aimed at gamers seeking premium audio without overt gaming aesthetics. It features a removable Meta Voice boom microphone that converts the headset into over-ear headphones, dual-mode connectivity via a low-latency 2.4 GHz USB dongle and Bluetooth 5.3 with LC3 codec, a 40 mm dynamic driver tuned for spatial audio, and up to 50 hours of battery life. The headset weighs approximately 336 g, incorporates replaceable breathable velour ear cushions, and is built in Germany from premium materials. It is priced at €179 and is scheduled for release in Q4 2025.

The MMX 230 Wireless serves as Beyerdynamic’s flagship model with pro-grade features including active noise cancellation, environmental noise cancellation on the microphone, and a swappable battery system that permits hot-swap replacements for up to 60 hours of play per charge. It employs Bluetooth 6.0 for minimal latency, 40 mm dynamic drivers, and an ergonomic design featuring a padded headband and replaceable velour ear pads. Weighing 320 g, it is available in black or arctic white at a recommended price of €249 and will also launch in Q4 2025.
