Inspired by a style that launched in the 70s, Puma is adding to its Mirage franchise with the all-new Mirage Sport. The new sneaker was informed by DJ culture and it features soft color palettes that let the silhouette shine. Notably, Danny Taylor, Puma’s design lead for sportstyle footwear, says "For the initial drop we wanted to expose the manufacturing process and the imperfections that come in the early sampling process of a sneaker."
The sneaker has foam that can be seen under the collar, loose and exaggerated edges and elements that seem somewhat disconnected to reinforce the overall layered nature of the design. The collection, which officially drops soon, joins a new wave of sneakers that focuses on uniqueness and imperfection.
