Geometrically Camouflaged Shoe Ads

Models Were Body Painted for Minna Parikka Spring/Summer 2014

Famed shoe designer Minna Parikka recently collaborated with illustrator Janine Rewell to advertise the 'Minna Parikka Spring/Summer 2014' collection. Rewell blended models into vibrant geometric backgrounds with the use of body paint.

Rewell painted the models' bodies in vibrant colors to coincide with the shoes and backgrounds. It came to be a tricky task because the natural contours of the female body can ruin sharp, geometric angles, but with the help of body paint and make-up artists Saara Sarvas and Riina Laine, the challenge was met.

Four beautiful ads were created, and the process was documented into a short video. As for the shoes, even with all the visual distraction around them, they still make a statement of their own.
