The Minimal Phone has been developed by Andre Youkhan of The Minimal Company as a mobile device consumers could use in lieu of a smartphone to help combat against too much usage.
The device is equipped with an E Ink display that will offer intuitive access to only the essential requirements including phone, messaging, notes, calendar and a few other productivity or business apps. The device is paired with a full QWERTY keyboard to offer a pleasant typing experience that works with the aforementioned E Ink display to slow down the user for more mindful usage.
The Minimal Phone will reportedly feature a 4,000mAh battery to provide around four days of use per charge and will run an Android-based operating system to strike a balance for avid smartphone users.
