Minimalist Fantasy Stamps

These Middle Earth Art Pieces Imagine Different Fantasy Postage Stamps

These pieces of Lord of the Rings-inspired Middle Earth art are made over to resemble a set of everyday postage stamps.

Drawn by London-based graphic designer Yvonne Michaelides, these illustrations imagine different locations from Lord of the Rings -- set in the fantasy world of Middle Earth -- as places with their own specific postage. These minimalist pieces of Middle Earth art are able to simply yet accurately portray different locales by boiling them down to their very basic essence.

Each illustration features a bold background color used as a simple backdrop for the main drawing. Simple lines and silhouettes are used to portray landmarks or symbols that fans of the series will instantly connect to. Each postage-inspired drawing also features a stamp-mimicking border and a postage amount located in the very top right corner as well.
