Microsoft's new controller is titled the 'Elite Series 2' and it looks to improve upon the first Elite Controller. The first Elite Controller was customizable, with the D-Pad and thumbsticks being easily turned on and off and the paddles being programmable. The Series 2 version will feature much of the same customization features with improved hardware.

Where the previous model relied on batteries, the company has stated that the new controllers will be rechargeable, with battery life lasting for up to 40 hours on a single charge. The thumbsticks on the top of the controller are turnable, meaning users can better adjust how much pressure they are using on the controller. Microsoft's new controller weighs in ay 345 grams and is currently available for pre-order, with a $180 USD price point.
