M.I.A. supposedly retired, but I guess a good Diesel party was just too hard to resist. M.I.A. showed up onstage during T.I's surprise set which was right before Franz Ferdinand played.

Diesel is turning 30, and they are doing this thing called Dirty Thirty Denim. It was a free concert and showcased N.E.R.D. and Hot Chip--before they became Chaka Khan's backing band.

Implications - Celebrities and other public figures often make public proclamations that they are heading into retirement. Although many do stay in retirement, a surge of stars are coming out of hiding and using the publicity from their retirement campaigns to jumpstart new careers. With the expensive nature of society, more and more people find themselves heading back to work after early retirement. Workplaces need to be conscious of accommodating for a wider demographic of both young and old employees entering the workforce.
