GSC Game World is Selling NFTs That Allow Users to Be a 'Metahuman'

'GSC Game World,' the game developers behind the 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.' franchise, have launched a new NFT set for 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl' that will allow NFT owners to become an in-game 'metahuman.' These NFTs will be sold on the platform 'DMarket,' which is a massive blockchain market that has partnered with dozens of high-profile industry partners since its inception in 2017.

The metahuman that NFT buyers will become in-game is a highly detailed non-player character (NPC). Paired with becoming an NPC, NFT owners will receive digital ownership of a section of the game, which further solidifies S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as a metaverse-focused video game. GSC Game World has announced its plans of turning the franchise into the 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Metaverse,' along with plans of more NFT initiatives in the future, which have yet to be announced.
