The collection comprises many round pieces of various sizes, each featuring a translucent film in some shade of orange. They have been inspired by the changes that occur in human skin when it is exposed to the sunlight. Based on this and their material properties, the Melanin modules look particularly good when they're strung up in front of a window. They brighten up when rays shine through and they function as contemporary blinds. Held in tension by cords and brass weights, the circles can also be installed as partitions and wall-mounted embellishments.
