Designer Mary Katrantzou said her Fall 2009 fashion line was inspired by vintage perfume bottles, but these designs look greatly like the colors and shapes found on Lubber grasshoppers.
Katrantzou’s line featured bold reds, yellows, blues, and oranges; all of which can be found on the grasshoppers. Trend de la Creme took the fashions and compared them to individual types of Lubber grasshoppers, and she’s spot on in her comparison. From the prints to the high necks featured above, these designs are straight from nature.
