Empowering Women-Focused Programs

Mars Incorporated and Save the Children Launch Women R.I.S.E.

Mars Incorporated, in partnership with Save the Children, has launched the Women R.I.S.E. (Resilient & Inclusive Systems for Empowerment) Program. This three-year initiative is funded by a three-million-dollar grant from the Mars Impact Fund.

The Women R.I.S.E. program is designed to bolster the resilience of cocoa farming communities while simultaneously advancing child protection and women's economic empowerment across several provinces in Indonesia. The Mars Incorporated x Save the Children initiative directly confronts the interconnected challenges prevalent in rural agricultural regions, such as fluctuating crop yields, limited access to financial services, and insufficient local infrastructure for community planning and development. By targeting these systemic issues, the program aims to create a more stable and self-sufficient foundation for the communities that are integral to Mars Incorporated's cocoa supply chain.
