Mark A. Fionda Jr.'s name may be a mouthful, but perhaps that's fitting since it's going to take quite a few words to describe his artwork. To be more concise, Fionda Jr. specializes in watercolor illustrations depicting nostalgic television shows mashed up with other popular franchises. From Ghostbusters to Star Trek, this unique collection of images references everyone's favorite pop culture phenomenons from the 90s.
My favorite Mark A. Fionda Jr. illustration has got to be the one with Pikachu taking on Nappa from DragonBall Z. Its as though he took two epic anime franchises and upped their insanity by putting flagship characters from each franchise right beside each other.
Implications - Consumers are appreciative of children's illustrations because they evoke a sense of calm and whimsy, which alleviates consumer stress. Corporations may consider using children's illustrations in promotional campaigns to similarly invoke relaxation and garner consumer attention.
