Mango Vodka Cocktails

Desi Daru Mango Vodka Features In £25 Benares Cocktail

Desi Daru’s Alphonso mango vodka is taking centre stage in the Alphonso Royale, a sparkling cocktail served at Benares, the Michelin-starred restaurant in London’s Mayfair. Made with the bar’s own mango shrub, the drink has become one of the restaurant’s faster-selling cocktails.

The vodka is distilled from Alphonso mangoes grown in Ratnagiri, India, rather than having mango flavour added after distillation. This production method puts the fruit at the heart of the spirit, giving the cocktail its distinctive mango profile. At £25, the Alphonso Royale is a premium option for diners and bar guests looking for a special-occasion drink.

The partnership gives Desi Daru a high-end restaurant placement, introducing the spirit to guests in a cocktail setting. The British-Indian brand is also stocked in around 140 Waitrose stores and bars across London.
