German camera manufacturer Leica has officially unveiled its newest M-Series camera, the M11. A first for the company, the compact new unit comes equipped with a full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology. As a result, the camera can shoot stills at 18MP, 36MP, and 60MP.
Other notable features of the M11 include a 2.3MP touch screen, 14-bit color depth, an ISO range of 64 - 50,000, a Maestro III processor, an electronic shutter with speeds of up to 1/16,000 of a second, and multifield rangefinder mode. In addition, the camera offers users a new array of color filters allowing them to capture more natural images.
The camera also boasts 64GB of onboard storage, a new-and-improved 1800mAh battery, and an optional Visoflex 2 viewfinder. No doubt, with all these upgraded elements, the M11 should prove to be a major hit amongst photography enthusiasts.
