The Leica M11-P is an updated version of the brand's M11 model that's engineered to provide operators with an advanced experience that prioritizes encryption.
The camera is paired with a 60MP lens and an LCD covered in sapphire crystal over the Gorilla Glass material observed in the previous model. The internal security chip generates a signed certificate for every photo that's integrated into the metadata of the image that can then be verified through the open-source Adobe Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI). This will enable changes or manipulations to the file to be tracked and thus will dictate when the image has been tampered with to combat against misinformation.
The Leica M11-P is priced at $9,195, and comes in two finishes including black aluminum and silver chromed brass.
