Google announced 'Lumiere,' a new generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool for real-time custom video creation. This tool enables users to create videos up to five seconds long by simply selecting an image and entering a prompt. The tool then uses the entered image for reference in selectin its art styles for the generated videos. In analyzing Google Research's demo, the generated videos recreate the original art style quite well with minimal artifacts, which is excellent for brands looking to expand their marketing materials without paying high costs.
Lumiere is currently available for download on the tool's Github page, linked above. Also included in this page is insight into how the tool functions in terms of its diffusion model and process of video and image generation. There are numerous examples on the site across various art styles.
