The Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 show ended on a bittersweet note, as Marc Jacobs and his partner Robert Duffy confirmed this would be their last collection for the French design house. The collection was full of Jacobs’ signature flair and theatrics; for instance, the runway was a trip down memory lane, filled with stage relics (like the fountain) from Jacob’s past shows.
As for the fashion, the all-black collection seemed fitting considering Jacobs’ resignation. The models walked the runway in Showgirl inspired outfits – complete with ornate ostrich feathered headpieces made by Stephen Jones. Other notable outfits included the leather biker jackets, the ruffle-adorned sheer body suits, and feather-adorned suits.
Jacobs certainly made sure to end his run at Louis Vuitton with an unforgettable, glamorous show.
