Lost Borough Ice Cream, the Yonkers-based small batch ice cream brand, has teamed up with Ten to One Rum on a new cocktail-inspired ice cream flavor.
Dubbed the 'Hudson Old Fashioned,' the new ice cream is inspired by Ten to One’s Old Fashioned cocktail recipe. To recreate the cocktail's signature flavor, Lost Borough Ice Cream has created an ice cream that's infused with Ten to One Dark Rum, orange zest, and Angostura bitters. Each pint is also finished with a maraschino cherry and a candied orange twist, just like a real cocktail. Patrick Cruz, the Co-Owner of Lost Borough Ice Cream, explains, "We chose the name Hudson Old Fashioned as a tribute to New York, where the Old Fashioned cocktail is widely believed to have originated. We felt it was a fitting nod to the drink’s history while also connecting the flavor to our local roots."
