Local Awareness Ads may have been tested in the United States for just under a year, but Facebook has now expanded the service to include Canada due to its success. Local Awareness Ads were created to help businesses connect with new customers in a more targeted manner. Facebook writes, "Local awareness ads are optimized so you can reach the most amount of people for the least amount of money." On the flip side, it also helps people to discover more useful things in their city and neighborhood, specifically.
In addition to launching in another market, the Local Awareness Ads will feature a Call Now button that will allow consumers to call a local business directly from the ad in the News Feed. This ensures the service streamlines the mobile experience even more.
