The library was created as a result of a survey conducted by Maru Public Opinion, which revealed that 94% of newly arrived settlers in Canada wished to maintain their cultural roots and relive fond memories of childhood in connection to their motherlands.

The Living Traditions Library is ideal for those looking to recreate a beloved childhood dish, learn about the origins of a particular ingredient, or simply connect with communities. This digital platform aims to bookmark recipes, some of which have been handwritten for 25 years, so that it can remain a resource that can be continuously revisited by future generations.
