American Apparel, meet your newest rival: NYLON's style director, Dani Stahl. This uber trendy chick recently designed these super, super, super (super?) tight leggings for LnA's upcoming fall line.
They are low-rise and look like they are literally painted on with latex. The overall skin-hugging design is probably what makes the zippers up the back so functional as well as fashionable.
Did I mention that they are super tight?
Implications - When a particular item of clothing becomes popular across a variety of types of consumers, it becomes a heavily purchased wardrobe staple. As consumption of these products increases, different styles and perspectives of the generic product begin to emerge that reflect a wide range of personal tastes and further broadens the range of consumers to which the product appeals.
