Westman Atelier's first-ever lipstick, Lip Suede, is a high-impact matte formula with a unique hydro-matte finish.
Matte lipsticks are beloved for being rich in pigment and full-coverage but they tend to be drying and can be uncomfortable to wear. Recognizing this, the brand set out to create a nourishing formula with plumping, hydrating ingredients akin to what one might find in skincare serums. "For Lip Suede Matte Lipstick, we created a technology that’s called Hydro Suede Technology to replace parts of the powders that are normally included in matte formulations and will suck up oils from your lip’s natural oils," said Westman, "The Hydro Suede Technology has Kaolin Clay which mattifies and prevents feathering or smudging but it also has hyaluronic acid to hydrate your lips and meadowfoam extract to lock in that moisture.”
