Taking inspiration from minerals and mountains, the lip balm packaging design for Perfumerias Julia takes an unusually conical shape. The design by Sapetti is like a spinning top, since it has a precious diamond shape that expresses the gem-like quality of the product.
Due to the shape of the container, it does have a tendency to roll around in place when placed on a flat surface, but its movements will not be so out of control that it falls over. However, this is not an issue for a lot of women anyway, since cosmetics are often stored in a purse pocket or makeup bag. Like a precious stone, the packaging also has a brilliant clarity to it that shows off the product inside.
