Charging gadgets like cellphones and digital cameras may soon leave no carbon footprint at all, thanks to designs like the Leaf wireless charger. The Leaf wireless charger is a solar-powered gadget charger that uses the sun's rays to charge everything from smartphones to PSPs.
Joel Kim is the future-forward designer behind the Leaf wireless charger. The Leaf is simple to use, requiring only seven hours of sunlight to become fully charged. The Leaf can charge two gadgets at a time, one on top and one connected via USB cable. The Leaf can also be charged via USB port, ensuring its usefulness even on cloudy days. Removing all our gadget chargers from the grid could go a long way towards making the world a greener place.
