Los Latinos is a quaint, family-run Latin cafe in the heart of Maidstone -- a neighborhood in Melbourne. The establishment was born from "the death of Latin American food" in Australia, as described on Los Latinos' website. Craving the cuisine she grew up with in El Salvador, owner Lilian Funes de Murga launches the Latin cafe with the help of her husband Mario and their nephews and nieces. The small restaurant offers tasty and authentic pupusas, tamales and carne asada.
What makes this Latin cafe a must-visit is its inherent authenticity and strong cultural attitude. Not only is the food informed first-hand by Hispanic cuisine, the ambiance of Los Latinos communicates the vibe of the close tightly-knit family.
