KTPocket Officially Launched its KT R1 Android-Based Console

After announcing its upcoming KT R1 handheld gaming console late last year, KTPocket officially launched the retail purchase page for the KT R1 with a number of interesting changes. Firstly, the KT R1 is highly customizable with customers able to choose between three different memory and storage configurations, seven color options, two frame layouts, two frame materials, and whether or not the customer wants a SIM card slot.

The SIM card slot is interesting as it unlocks the ability for the KT R1 to access mobile networks and be used for phone calls. Essentially, a customer would be able to replace their mobile phone with the KT R1 if desired. However, some calling functionalities may not work in some countries based on service provider restrictions.

Aside from this, the KT R1 has two large forward-facing speakers, enough face buttons to replicate a regular controller, and the ability to place either the D-PAD or the left joystick in the top-left position.
