French company Komado is innovating on the classic FM synth hardware with its new Essence FM synthesizer.
Komado planned the synth to be easily patched to help emulate a variety of electronic instrument sounds and effects. The main features of the synth include: 300 voice polyphony, hybrid FM and subtractive synthesis, 24 fully customizable waveforms, eight balanced audio outputs, a touch screen interface, and multiple midi connectivity.
Handmade in France and constructed with a durable steel chassis, as well as an anodized aluminum face-plate, the product ships with a two-year manufacturer warranty. The package includes an operating manual, rack mounting brackets, and a universal AC adapter.
Essence FM is currently available for pre-order on Komado's website, with the unit set to officially launch in February 2020.
