This epic July 4th dessert is as patriotic as it is delicious. Made by Diana Johnson and featured on the site She Knows, the Cherry Bomb Cake Pops are a dynamic and delicious treat to serve on the Fourth of July.
The cake-covered cherries don't come on a stick like a traditional cake pop, but the stem works well as something to hold on to. The maraschino cherries are also a surprise inside. Diana used Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic White cake mix and decorated the rest of the July 4th dessert in Independence Day themed red, white and blue sprinkles and stars. To get that nice American blue hue, you can use blue candy melts.
These bites are the perfect way to finish a 4th of July barbecue.
