Johnnie Walker is tailoring its Blue Label range to India’s festive season with the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Indian Festive Blend, a limited release created with celebratory meals in mind. Master Blender Dr Emma Walker developed the blend using rare whisky from the Blue Label reserves, keeping the spirit’s premium character while introducing flavours suited to the richness and aromatics of Indian festive food.
Cardamom and saffron bring a more pronounced aromatic character to the whisky, giving the blend a profile designed to complement rather than compete with food. The release also marks the second year of Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s collaboration with Indian designer Rahul Mishra, bringing his contemporary take on Indian luxury into the presentation of the whisky.
The Indian Festive Blend positions whisky as part of the wider festive experience, rather than simply something reserved for gifting or display. Its food-focused profile and connection to Indian design give the Blue Label name a more locally specific expression for the season.
