Summery Italian Pizza Menus

Blaze Pizza's Italian Escape Menu Features Volpi Foods’ Prosciutto

Blaze Pizza wants to take your taste buds on a trip to Italy this summer with the launch of its new Italian Escape menu.

Inspired by the Italian practice of enjoying leisurely meals with friends, Blaze Pizza's new Italian Escape menu features fresh ingredients and perfectly balances sweet and savory flavors. Four limited-time offerings make up the new menu, including the Prosciutto Pizza, which is made with Volpi Foods’ premium prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, arugula, balsamic caramelized onions, and a sweet fig glaze. Consumers can also enjoy the smaller format, Prosciutto Pizzetta, which features the same slow-cured, premium prosciutto.

As Casey Terrell, Blaze Pizza's Chief Marketing Officer, says of the new menu, "At Blaze, we’ve always believed that high-quality, craveable food should be accessible. With Italian Escape, we’re taking that to the next level, bringing artisanal prosciutto into our fast-casual format in a way that delivers incredible flavor and value for our guests.”

Artisanal Ingredients in Fast-casual
Rising use of premium artisanal components in fast-casual menus highlights possibilities for reconfiguring sourcing and pricing models around high-quality, scalable ingredients.
Smaller-format Premium Offerings
The proliferation of bite-sized or smaller-format premium items indicates potential for reconceiving portioning, packaging and profit-per-square-inch economics.
Sweet-savory Flavor Pairing Popularity
Growing consumer appetite for balanced sweet-and-savory combinations creates room for novel product formulations and cross-category collaborations that redefine menu expectations.

Where This Applies

Fast-casual Dining
Integration of artisanal products into value-driven fast-casual models points to opportunities for redesigning operational workflows and supplier relationships to deliver elevated offerings at scale.
Charcuterie and Cured Meats
Premium cured-meat producers partnering with mainstream chains could reshape distribution channels and product formats to serve higher-volume, foodservice-oriented demand.
Foodservice Supply Chain
Demand for fresh, specialty ingredients in limited-time menus suggests a need for more agile procurement, cold-chain logistics and micro-distribution solutions.
