Innuendo-Infused Ads

Intimate Wipes from Playtex are Publicized Subtly

Playtex’s new ad campaign for their Fresh + Sexy Intimate Wipes pushes the boundaries of good taste and sexual innuendo in absolutely hilarious fashion.

Any product (especially one that is for cleaning private areas) that tells potential customers that “a clean beaver always finds more wood,” or “a polished knob always gets more turns,” with a picture of an appropriate animal will get a grade-school sized guffaw from me every time. The intimate wipes are designed for “before and after,” so the ad campaign is as appropriate as it is funny.

I’ve got to ask though, with such an overt advertising campaign for “intimate wipes,” why not go with a more fun and risque title for the product?
