Fashion brand JW Anderson branches out to new areas as it launches its inaugural footwear collection. A look at the silhouettes was first seen when the label showcased its Fall/Winter 2021 capsule. The shoe boasts a deconstructed look and is made with dramatic structures.
Jonathan Anderson talks about the new design, stating, “I like how the rough stitching implies the hand of the maker. I think that balances out the more technical side of trainer design. I like that these feel rough and rawer.” He updates a classic sneaker with a contemporary update, spotlighting the focus on versatility. He continues, “I like to think of it as an abstraction of a known sneaker but with disproportionate volumes.”
