The Ice Auger Machine is essentially an ice-fishing go-kart that utilizes an ice auger motor. This vehicle represents a smart alternative over snowmobiles, which many fishermen use to travel across frozen lakes at no small expense.
To use the vehicle, ice fishermen simply need to separate the motor from their existing auger and mount it to the front of the cart. The motor powers a chain drive that turns the rear wheels while the auger, along with the rest of the gear, is towed behind in a sled. Once at the destination, the motor can easily be put back on the auger and a hole drilled in the ice.
The Ice Auger Machine is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign.
