The New 'Hyperfly + Grateful Dead' Drop is Made for Jiu-Jitsu
Niko Pajkovic — October 19, 2021 — Fashion
The newly released 'Hyperfly + Grateful Dead' collection sees streetwear brand Hyperfly team up with the iconic '70s-era jam band Grateful Dead to deliver an assortment of jiu-jitsu apparel.
Undoubtedly one of Hyperfly's stranger collaborations, the new collection features a variety of limited-edition garments designed -- ideally -- for Deahheads that practice the "gentle art." Leading the collection is the specialty kimono, which is offered in either black and white. The kimono is is crafted using 450gsm pearl weave and dressed with Grateful Dead-themed embroidery along the arms and back. Of course, the iconic lighting-bolt-skull logo is printed extra-large on the back of the garment.
In addition, the collection includes a matching gym bag that is dressed with similar graphics, as well t-shirts featuring the Grateful Dead bear wearing a jiu-jitsu kimono.
