The ‘Holding People’s Hand’ Video is Fantastically
Jennifer Gosnell — June 14, 2012 — Pop Culture
The ‘Holding People’s Hand’ video from the geniuses at LAHWF features Andrew Hales going up to people and holding their hand at random. The random hand-groping takes place in a public place and catches a few people off guard, but surprisingly quite a few people end up just rolling with it and laughing.
As a funny prank to make people feel awkward and have some fun doing it, the video shows how uncomfortable unexpected physical contact can be. The video ends with him having a conversation with one of his hand-holding conquests, who he recognizes from class. Buzzfeed describes the video as “so simple, yet so brilliant,” and it can truly be said that the concept is a fantastically uncomplicated way to prank someone and increase the boundaries of everyday intimacy.
