Bluon Turns Model Numbers and Photos Into Service Profiles

Bluon is expanding HVAC record management with 'Asset Manager,' a record-enrichment feature for commercial and residential HVAC contractors and property managers. It turns stored model numbers or equipment photos into usable service profiles, adding technical specs, unit age, and estimated warranty status so teams can target retrofits, replacements, and service contracts from existing customer files.

Rather than relying on AI-generated equipment lookups, the feature uses Bluon's proprietary database, which contains records for over 35 million models from 270 OEMs. That catalog reaches back to 1980 and is listed at 99.9% accuracy. Contractors can import older equipment lists, connect a field service account for automatic enrichment, or add units via a nameplate scan in the Bluon app. Asset Manager is now available to 'Bluon for Business' customers.

Available through Bluon for Business, the feature turns dormant service history into a revenue and planning asset for HVAC firms. Tying warranty checks and parts data to each record makes sales outreach and dispatch decisions part of routine recordkeeping.
