Alexandra Von Furstenberg's furniture lines have been creating quite a stir. She launched the first one in 2008, which featured fluorescent highlights but has now brought out her second line which is all in black.
The nine-piece black voltage line offers a coffee table and an array of tabletop accessories such as trays and nut bowls.
Judging by the photos, I think her mother-in-law, Dianne Von Furstenberg, approves.
Implications - A designer's ability to switch up their styles allows them to remain cutting-edge and unpredictable. These two things are key within any business in any industry. Businesses that constantly change up their color pallets -- like this designer did -- prevent consumers from viewing their products as predictable.
