The Hibiki Phone Case may look like it focuses solely on style with its sculptural aesthetic, but it's actually a tech-savvy creation meant to improve the sound quality of the smartphone it's encasing. It is made out of a "special material that blocks radio waves and other ambient noises from phone connections, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the like" as well as "reduces noise with vibration suppression to the entire inside of the case, and by removing audio signals and radio waves, the phone’s sound playback is improved for phone users," reports Hypebeast.

Designed by Japanese brand +Simplism, the Hibiki Phone Case is handmade in Hiroshima by Japanese craftsmen out of high-grade, natural North American white ash -- the same type of wood used to make high grade musical instruments.
