Fishmas Trees

The Hakkeijima Sea Paradise Tree is Made With 50,000 Sardines

Yokohama’s underwater holiday show is in full swing and it’s a bit fishy. Literally. The Hakkeijima Sea Paradise tree is made up of 50,000 sardines. Displayed at the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium until Christmas day, the tree is part of the ‘Christmas Super Iwashi (Sardines) Illusion’ show.

While Inventor Spot accurately describes it as a, "Fishmas Tree,” according to the English translation the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise tree is something that displays the, “Christmas lust of fish underwater.” What that means is anybody’s guess.
