Google ‘Time Machine’ is a New Maps Street View Feature

Google has recently unveiled many new ventures but its latest feature called 'Google Time Machine’ infuses the old. Time travel was once a myth, but now it is becoming more of a reality because of this new Maps feature. 'Time Machine' is a new tool for Street View that lets you go back in time to see how specific locations have changed.

The feature can be easily initiated by pressing the new clock icon in the upper left-hand corner of a Street View screen. An image reel then appears at the bottom of your Street View location that lets you select photos of it that date back to 2007 (when Google Maps was first introduced).

You can see things like the growth of the the Freedom Tower in New York City or maybe even the differences in your own neighbourhood from season to season.
