Afterglow's Glow Girl Program Was Created to Empower Young Women

While yoga studios have had to close in the wake of COVID-19, Afterglow has joined many others in taking its classes online, with its popular Glow Girls program now available on Instagram Live.

Afterglow's Julie Watson and Liz Doyle Harmer will be leading the sessions, which are created with pre-teen and teen girls in mind. The program was devised in response to research showing that teen girls tended to experience higher rates of stress than their older counterparts, and were more susceptible to having a low self esteem. With this in mind, Glow Girls aims to empower young women by leading them through constructive meditation and yoga sessions, while also integrating practical resources that they can access at home.

In addition to its targeted Glow Girls sessions, Afterglow offers a variety of guided classes online that are suitable for participants of all ages who are looking to improve their wellness.
