The retailer will deploy technology from Vontier businesses Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Invenco across more than 700 sites. Connected outdoor payment terminals will support transactions at the pump or kiosk, while the DOMS PSS 5000 Forecourt Controller connects with Tesco’s POS and software to provide real-time operational data. The modular architecture also allows the system to scale as requirements evolve.
For Tesco, connecting previously separate forecourt functions can improve operational visibility and make fuel transactions more seamless for customers. The large-scale deployment also gives Vontier an opportunity to demonstrate its combined payment and fueling capabilities across a major retail network. A modular approach could further reduce complexity when Tesco introduces new services or updates its fueling infrastructure in the future.
