Scott Howard took 400 photos of Machu Picchu to create a 1500 megapixel photo. When you open the site, you can zoom almost perpetually to see every last detail. This isn't the first time we've seen gigapixel photos. If you like this, you might also like the World's Largest Digital Photo, an 8.6 gigapixel photo of "Vita di Cristo" - Christ's Passion. The latter is an amazing photo from the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church in Varallo Sesia, Italy. It was painted by Gaudenzio Ferrari in 1513.
